Nature, Seasons, Energy – the VOLT kitchen is as closely connected to nature and far from industrially produced food as one can get. Chefs Fredrik Johnsson and Peter Andersson keep their menu clearly focused on ingredients and products from the forests, fields and seas that surround us. Natural, distinct and honest. They only collaborate with producers who share this quest and who closely follow the changing seasons so they can constantly move forward and evolve together.
Peter and Fredrik both grew up on the West Coast, born the same year and went to the same school. During the years between school and Volt they gathered experience from working in various restaurants across the Nordics and the world. Their knowledge grew and the search for the perfect restaurant led the to the opening of their own restaurant in December 2012, along with co owner Johan Bengtsson. Since then, VOLT has been at the very forefront of exciting cuisine in Stockholm – and 2015 they were awarded with a very well deserved Michelin star.
