Claus Meyer is a culinary entrepreneur, restaurateur, philanthropist, cookbook author, professor and TV host. He is the founder of the New Nordic Cuisine movement and co-founder of restaurant noma, voted best restaurant in the world four times. In 2013, as an initiative of his Melting Pot Foundation, he decided to establish a food school and start a food movement in South America, opening the gourmet restaurant Gustu in La Paz, Bolivia and, soon will be running 13 canteens in the slums of the El Alto district. Meyer has in 2015 been appointed “Social Impact Fellow” at The Hass School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. In the spring of 2016, he is opening up a Nordic food hall and restaurant located in the Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal.
